Bryan Chance, Transportation Director-Scotland County School District, presented a program to the members of the Rotary Club of Scotland County on July 19, 2023. He started with the school district as a bus driver in the 2015-2016 school year and he became the Transportation Director in 2016. The district currently runs 8 bus routes and there are 8 full-time bus drivers and 4 sub drivers and these routes haul approximately 325-350 children to/from school, plus trips/activities. The district currently maintains and operates 14 busses. All of the busses have passed with a 100% safety rating during the annual bus safety inspection, conducted by the state, the last two years. The district is working with their bus dealer on a grant to fund two new electric busses in the future.
